XCite is the name of the handheld 3D coordinate measuring machine from Wenzel, Wiesthal. It is said to be suitable for the holistic quality inspection of simple workpieces, both in production and in classic workpiece analysis. The use of high-quality granite in all axes makes the device extremely robust and durable, the manufacturer describes.

Four models are available to the user: with measuring ranges from 500 x 600 x 500 to 700 x 1200 x 500 mm3. The fine adjustment and individual clamping of each axis is intended to ensure the exact positioning and precise detection of the touch points.

The accuracy of the coordinate measuring machine is specified by the limit of the length measuring deviation MPEEs to 3.5 + L/250 μ. The coordinate measuring machine comes standard with Renishaw's MCP manual touch probe. Optionally, it can also be used with the manually adjustable MH20 probe and the TP20 touch probe. Another variant is the MH20i probe, which can be used to change already calibrated probe modules with repeatable accuracy without recalibration.

With the help of the Metrosoft Quartis measurement software, reliable measured values can be generated for various measurement tasks. It also enables the import and export of data to common CAD, CAM or CAQ systems. The all-rounder should be easy to use.
